Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
This policy is provided for transparency and general information. It does not constitute legal advice. If you have questions about your specific obligations or rights, consult qualified counsel in your jurisdiction.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
This Privacy Policy applies to the website shcc.co.in (the “Website”) operated by Shree Hari Coal Corporation (“SHCC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), an importer, wholesaler and trader of coal based in Surat, India.
For the purposes of applicable data-protection laws, SHCC is the data controller of personal information collected through the Website, except where a third-party service (such as Google reCAPTCHA) acts as an independent controller of data it processes for its own purposes.
Registered office: 314, International Business Center, Next to Big Bazaar, Piplod, Surat, Gujarat 395007, India.
General contact: info@shcc.co.in · 0261-4001414.
2. Scope & International Users
The Website is intended for business and professional use. Visitors may access it from anywhere in the world. By using the Website or submitting information to us, you understand that your data may be processed in India, where our systems and service providers are primarily located.
If you are located outside India, your local laws (including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states) may grant you additional rights. We describe those rights in Section 12 where they may apply. If local law requires a different approach, we will comply to the extent legally required.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Identity & contact data — name, email address, phone number, organization, and message content submitted through the Contact Us form.
- Recruitment data — name, email, phone, position applied for, optional message, and resume/CV files submitted through the Careers application form.
- Communications — content of emails, phone calls, or WhatsApp messages you initiate with us and our responses.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps and similar server or security logs collected automatically when you visit the Website.
- Security & anti-abuse data — signals processed by Google reCAPTCHA v3 when you use protected forms (see Section 8).
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or financial account data) through the Website. Please do not submit sensitive information unless we specifically request it and you choose to provide it.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to business inquiries and provide product, pricing, or logistics information.
- Process, evaluate and communicate about job applications.
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website.
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, spam, abuse, or security incidents.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with applicable law.
- Maintain business records and internal administration.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use the Website for behavioural advertising or cross-context profiling.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on your location and the context, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Consent — when you submit a form, apply for a role, or otherwise voluntarily provide information (including acceptance of this policy and our Terms).
- Contract / pre-contractual steps — to respond to inquiries you request or to process applications you submit.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the Website, prevent abuse and manage our business, balanced against your privacy rights.
- Legal obligation — where retention or disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or government request.
In India, we process personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), as and when fully effective and applicable to our processing.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Authorized SHCC personnel (sales, operations, HR, management) who need access to perform their duties.
- Service providers that host the Website, deliver email, provide IT infrastructure, or support security (including Google reCAPTCHA), under confidentiality and data-processing obligations appropriate to the service.
- Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) where necessary and subject to duty of confidentiality.
- Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety and property.
- Successors in the event of a merger, restructuring, or asset transfer, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
Form submissions may be delivered by email to designated company addresses (including info@shcc.co.in and hr@shcc.co.in).
7. International Data Transfers
Because we are based in India and use service providers that may operate globally, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from India or other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections with service providers or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We do not set first-party cookies for analytics, advertising, or site preference storage. We do not run Google Analytics or similar marketing trackers on the Website.
Google reCAPTCHA v3 loads on the Contact and Careers forms to reduce spam. Google
may set or read cookies (such as _GRECAPTCHA) and process device, network and
interaction signals under the
Google Privacy Policy
and
Terms of Service.
The Contact page may embed Google Maps; Google may set cookies when you interact with the map. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect form security checks or embedded map functionality.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Business inquiries — typically up to three (3) years from last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for legal, tax, or dispute purposes.
- Job applications — for the recruitment process and a reasonable period thereafter (often up to twelve (12) months) unless you consent to longer retention or law requires otherwise.
- Server/security logs — for a limited period necessary for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized where feasible.
We may retain information longer where required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include access controls, secure hosting and form protection tools.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. You provide information at your own risk. Please use caution when submitting data and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access related to your interaction with SHCC.
11. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals in connection with the Website. reCAPTCHA may use automated analysis solely for abuse prevention, as described by Google.
12. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or erasure where legally permitted.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior lawful processing).
- Request data portability in a structured, commonly used format where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction (for example, in the EEA or UK).
To exercise these rights, email info@shcc.co.in with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within thirty (30) days, or within any shorter period required by applicable law.
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights regarding personal information. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, many such provisions may not apply, but you may still contact us with questions.

The Website is directed to businesses and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have received such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15. Third-Party Links & Services
The Website may link to or integrate third-party services (maps, messaging apps, social networks, reCAPTCHA). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before providing personal information to them.
16. Changes to This Policy
